Today, 8th November, regarding the construction of a regional center for the maintenance and repair of "Stryker" combat vehicles, the Minister of Defence Atanas Zapryanov and the responsible Deputy Minister Adelina Nikolova visited TEREM - Ivailo - Veliko Tarnovo, where they got acquainted with project preparation.
TEREM - HOLDING EAD started the preparatory actions at the beginning of the year soon after signing of the contract between the Republic of Bulgaria and the American government for the acquisition of the Stryker machines,. At the meeting with the management of TEREM - Ivailo EOOD and the Ministry of Defence, more specific terms were discussed regarding the stages of infrastructure reconstruction in order to align it with the manufacturer's requirements, as well as the readiness of the Bulgarian engineering & technical team.
In October this year an agreement has been signed between the manufacturer General Dynamics Land Systems - Canada and TEREM - HOLDING EAD as well as subsequent documents that allow the Holding access to the official technical documentation. Subsequently the requirements regarding the universal tools, specialized infrastructure and facilities were specified. In connection with the latter, TEREM - HOLDING EAD signed a design contract with PRONO EOOD which includes a plan for reconstruction, modernization of the premises and new construction.
The arrival of the first Stryker machines equipment is planned for the end of Q2 2025. All variants of the combat machines under the contract for the modernization of the Land Force are going to be assembled on the territory of TEREM - Ivailo. TEREM - HOLDING EAD is working hard on all preparatory actions related to timely compliance with the requirements of the contract, as a large part of the preparation of the halls at TEREM IVAILO is at the final stage.
