TEREM - HOLDING EAD celebrated 60 years on October 9, 2025 at the Central Military Club since its establishment as a suceessor of the Military Repair Bases and Factories Department of the Ministry of Defence. The event was attended by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria Mrs. Nataliya Kiselova and the Minister of Defence Mr. Atanas Zapryanovas guests of honor.

During the official part, the National Assembly President, Mrs. Nataliya Kiselova, congratulated the management and all employees of TEREM - HOLDING EAD. She defined the construction of a new and the improvement of the existing infrastructure as a challenge for the company, which will also allow the adoption of new production. "This is impossible without investments in the most valuable resource of the company - its employees." Ms. Kiselova assured that not only as a representative of the legislative body, but also as a member of the Committee on Defence, that she will support any initiative that requires legislative decisions to ensure economic development as well as preserving and increasing the capacity for armament and equipment repairs, in support of the combat readiness of the Bulgarian Army and the defence of the country.

The Minister of Defence also congratulated the management and all employees on the occasion of TEREM - HOLDING anniversary. He noted that the company was established during the Cold War in a different socio-political system and military-political environment. "Today we are facing wartime in which the war is once again raging brutally in Europe, which has provoked our and the allied armed forces to take urgent measures and accelerate rearmament and creation of new capabilities. Both then and now, TEREM remains the back up of our armed forces.", the Minister emphasized. He highly evaluated the efforts of the management and the employees of the Holding in achieving positive results in the current market conditions and expressed wishes for future success.
As a perspective, the Minister emphasized on the need for transformation and adaptation to the new combat systems support, which has already started thanks to projects such as the acquisition of Stryker armored vehicles for the Bulgarian Land Forces. In conclusion, Minister Zapryanov underlined once more the key role of TEREM - HOLDING, noting that more modernisation projects in the Bulgarian Army were ahead.

In his speech, the Executive Director Kalin Dimitrov highlighted the glorious 60 years of history as a reason for pride, but also a reflection on the new, radically changed security environment in Europe and the world. "In a dynamically changing environment, we must realize that the coming years will be years of change. This transformation is a challenge for both for the Bulgarian Armed Forces as well as for the goals, tasks and capabilities of TEREM - HOLDING EAD in terms of acquiring new services, production and armament according to contemporary types and models, with the aim of our maximum use for the Ministry of Defence and the Bulgarian Army.", emphasized Mr. Dimitrov.
The Executive Director did not miss to outline the key achievements of the subsidiaries over the past two years, emphasizing that TEREM - HOLDING team was extremely committed to innovations in defence. A good example was the development of unmanned aerial vehicles in the three domains - air, land and water - in cooperation with companies from Ukraine and the European Union.
As a key point in TEREM - HOLDING development Kalin Dimitrov defined the partnership with General Dynamics Land Systems - CANADA regarding the modernisation of the Bulgarian Land Forces and the acquisition of Stryker combat vehicles. This project also marked a historic moment for the subsidiary TEREM – Ivaylo EOOD, which would become a Regional Center for the Assembly, Maintenance and Repair of Armored Vehicles. Due to the prominent support of the Ministry of Defence, the company would also build a Center for Diagnostics and Repair of L3 Harris CIS Equipment which would allow a large part of these repairs to be executed on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. "Thus, my team and I strive to work continuously for the successful and progressive development and presentation of TEREM - HOLDING and its subsidiaries in the best way, so that the Holding takes its position as a valuable (worthy) partner both to the Ministry of Defence and the Bulgarian Army, as well as to the Bulgarian defence industry as a whole!", Kalin Dimitrov added in conclusion.
At an official ceremony as part of the event, managers and employees of TEREM - HOLDING with special contributions to the development and presentation of the company were honored. The awards were presented personally by the Minister of Defence Atanas Zapryanov and the Executive Director of the Holding - Mr. Kalin Dimitrov.
The Executive Director and the members of the Board of Directors welcomed all guests and accepted congratulations at the beginning of the evening. The event was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence - Mrs. Adelina Nikolova, the Deputy Chief of Defence Lieutenant General Mihail Popov, the Commander of the Land Forces - Major General Deyan Deshkov, by other representatives of MOD directorates and their structures. Guests were also the Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth Prof. Dr. Georgi Angelov, representatives from other ministries, representatives from diplomatic missions, many business partners and employees of the Holding.
