TEREM-HOLDING EAD & SVOS establish Strategic Industrial Partnership

„ТЕРЕМ-ХОЛДИНГ“ ЕАД и SVOS сключиха стратегическо индустриално партньорство

Sofia, 16 September 2026 – TEREM-HOLDING EAD and Czech company SVOS, a manufacturer of armoured vehicles, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a strategic industrial partnership. The MoU was signed during the Bulgarian-Czech Business Forum, in the presence of the Prime Ministers of the two countries – Mr. Rumen Radev and Mr. Andrej Babiš. The partnership aims to create new opportunities for the Bulgarian Armed Forces, including the provision of modern armoured vehicles, the modernisation of existing equipment and long-term support.

The partnership with the Czech company provides TEREM-HOLDING with the opportunity to participate as a subcontractor for selected components of the MSHORAD mobile air defence system, undertake equipment integration and parts of the final assembly, as well as provide subsequent maintenance and repair services. The objective is to combine SVOS technologies with Bulgaria’s industrial base, develop local expertise and ensure technical support directly in the customer’s country. “The partnership with a company of SVOS’s standing is aimed at establishing strategic and long-term cooperation focused on the development of integrated solutions for mobile air defence systems and the modernisation of armoured equipment. This agreement is key to developing and further enhancing technological and technical expertise capabilities within Bulgarian-Czech relations,” said Mr Kalin Dimitrov, Executive Director of TEREM-HOLDING.

A key priority is the ready-to-deploy MSHORAD mobile air defence solution, which has been proven in a number of tests and live-fire exercises under real-world conditions. The system combines the MARS S-330 armoured vehicle with Saab’s RBS 70 NG missile system. The Swedish partner selected the MARS platform for the integration of its missile system, while the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic has already signed a contract for the acquisition of 24 of these vehicles equipped with integrated RBS 70 NG missile systems. Deliveries to the armed forces of other NATO member states are also currently under negotiation. “We want to offer Bulgaria not only the delivery of a highly effective and proven mobile air defence solution, but something more. Our objective is to combine a proven mobile air defence solution with a long-term industrial partnership,” said Štěpán Černý, Sales Director at SVOS.

The MSHORAD mobile air defence solution also includes a Giraffe 1X radar and a command post, both integrated into the same MARS platform. This enables a range of different, complementary configurations for protection against aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, including small drones.

In addition, SVOS offers know-how for the modernisation of the existing armoured vehicles of the Bulgarian Armed Forces, particularly with regard to enhancing their ballistic and mine protection. The company provides opportunities to use SVOS-patented design solutions, multilayer steel armour systems and high-performance ballistic glass.

Czech company SVOS is a leading European manufacturer of armoured vehicles. Founded in 1992 the company has produced more than 6,600 armoured vehicles for customers in more than 60 countries worldwide. Its portfolio includes military, police and civilian armoured vehicles, as well as protection technologies.
